    Your responsibilities:

    • Drive safety initiatives within Technology & Innovation function
    • Technical support of business line TPE and customer facing team regarding customers’ requests and technical exchanges with customers
    • Successful and timely management of experimental/developmental work: understanding of the application requirements, translation to product requirements, feasibility assessment, activities planning and actuation, technical feedback/solution delivery, scale-up
    • Material master T&I activities at any level including new products’ creation, maintenance and synchronization within plants in agreement with rules in place
    • Acquired knowledge: collection, preservation and distribution within the relevant technical functions
    • Technical reporting of the activities within the T&I function
    • Support patent watch activities and identify patentable novelties
    • Training to technical personnel about advances in products development
    • Develop and optimize material solutions to meet customer needs
    • Translate customer needs to product requirements
    • Develop bench scale process capabilities and deliver scale-up process
    • Ensure customer acceptance of product through qualification trials
    • Support the customer VOC gathering process
    • Initiates development of new product solutions for prioritized programs and progress product development projects via the milestone process.
    • Interfaces cross-functionally to ensure reliable product data generation, manufacturing scalability and adequate part performance
    • Document data via reports, file MOI’s/patents and ensure Freedom To Operate (FTO) analysis of all new products
    • Provide technical training internally and externally



    Your qualifications

    • Deep understanding of polymer structure property relationships, statistical analysis and product development.
    • Ability to translate customer needs to product requirements
    • Ability to interface cross-functionally with Pipeline management, compounding process technology, testing and CTG scale up team to deliver product
    • Ability to bring product expertise and knowhow to commercial team to enable customer problem solving activities
    • In-depth knowledge of the polymer chemistry, processing technologies and testing
    • Experience with innovation process management and DOE techniques
    • Inter-functional collaboration and communication attitude
    • Good understanding of SAP
    • Excellent communication skills, English language skills (verbal and in written)
    • Professional experience in product development, processing and applications in the area of Elastomers (e.g. SEBS, SBS, TPV)
    • Professional experience with polymer testing and analytics of Elastomers
    • Experience with customer interactions
    • Six Sigma experience
    • >3 years in field of Elastomer new product development, applications and processing
    • Science degree in chemistry with focus on polymers (preferably PhD)
