    -- The role is based in Kallo, Belgium - in the Antwerp region--

    Responsibilities:

    Rail coordination

    • Oversee Rail traffic for Intermediate Chemistry business line in EMEA region
    • Develop Rail Fleet Strategy for European footprint together with Logistics Procurement and other involved Business Teams
    • Key contact for the European Terminals (located in Belgium, UK and Germany)
    • Key contact for Rail forwarding agent
    • Monitor RTC fleet utilization and costs
    • Plan and monitor RTC maintenance
    • Monitor and address RTC demurrage at customers
    • Review/develop standard procedures for RTC handling
    • Investigate Rail-related Quality Notifications
    • Create Logistics-related purchase requisitions
    • Support Rail tender activities

     

    Backup for Vessel & Barge coordination

    • Key contact for our brokers, surveyors, shippers and agents
    • Creating shipment and process orders (incl. barge bookings etc.) and align with jetty planning
    • Coordinate all necessary barge/vessel activities with internal Teams (e.g. Planning, Customer Service, Logistics Team Members)
    • Control demurrage invoices for vessels/barges.
    • Coordination of insurance cases
    • Control quality of our product in our shore tanks considering product related Quality specifics

    Qualifications:

    • Broad logistics background (Road/Rail/other Logistics area market)
    • 5+ years of Logistics experience
    • Extended SAP and profound Microsoft Office knowledge
    • Strong communication skills and open for multi-cultural business relationship
    • Analytical skills to trigger cost/utilization/process improvements
    • Experience with and knowledge of Dangerous goods (ADR etc.)
    • Fluent Dutch and fluent English language skills (further language skills e.g. German desirable)

     

    Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

    • Bachelor Degree or several years Logistics experience (Road/Rail/ other Logistics area market)
    • Hands-on attitude and collaborative mindset
    • Six Sigma/Lean knowledge
    • Other European language skills  (e.g. German)
