Position Summary:

Responsible for converting Commercial Logistics freight contracts into rate and route master data in SAP and in TMS, which includes managing rate and route requests from customer service and planning teams. Position will work with Strategic Sourcing Managers in Commercial Logistics to provide freight rate analysis to sales and marketing personnel, and will also support transport cost processors in monthly closing activities.


Areas of Responsibility:

  • Maintain Rates, Routes, and Route guides in SAP and TMS master data
  • Analyze and troubleshoot Rate, Route and Routing guide errors and respond to raised quality notifications (QN’s)
  • Support Freight Resolver Payment Process - Enter missing or revise incorrect rates required for vendor payments
  • Provide freight estimates (when data resides in SAP) to Supply Chain/Marketing & Sales, otherwise coordinate with Strategic Sourcing Manager to obtain estimate.
  • Maintain fuel surcharge rates in SAP and TMS master data
  • Support Supply Chain transport cost processing by entering missing rates and routes that are obstructing the creation of shipment cost documents
  • Provide manual costing of non-contracted shipments
  • Create purchase requisitions to support Commercial Logistics
  • Support adhoc scenarios (i.e., plant closings, new ship points) that require the addition or deletion of rate and route master data in SAP



  • Experience in customer service, logistics, or accounts payable is preferred
  • Fluent English
  • Competence in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organization, communication, networking and multi-tasking skills
  • Results oriented with ability to adapt to changing deadlines
  • Knowledge of order to deliver SAP functionalities
