  • Development of regional demand plans for Acetyl Chain business unit in Western Hemisphere
  • Strong collaboration and alignment with Sales and the business
  • Alignment of demand with business objectives and directives i.e. tracking and capturing key assumptions and market intelligence
  • Improvement of demand plan accuracy (e.g. statistical forecasting) to reduce unplanned changes to the short-term production plan and to reduce slow moving/aging inventory
  • Chairing the demand meeting as part of the monthly S&OP process
  • Project management i.e. process improvement, cost reduction
  • Management, analysis and maintenance of SAP, model and history data sets for optimized S&OP results
  • Tracking and driving demand planning KPIs and business metric improvement


  • Bachelor´s degree in Supply Chain or related field
  • Ideally 3-5 years of demonstrated planning experience coupled with strong knowledge of demand planning processes ideally in the chemical industry
  • Superb communications skills 
  • SAP / APO / BI experience or related systems/areas
  • Proven statistical, analytical, Excel and Power Point skills
  • Ability to deliver results and to drive change in complex environment
  • Fluent written and verbal English skills required; German skills would be a plus
