The Opportunity

 

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead high-impact, cross-functional projects and help developing our next generation of project management talent.


In this role, you will independently manage medium- to large-scale projects, work closely with senior stakeholders, and drive improvements in how projects are delivered.


You will lead and manage the delivery of key initiatives across Finance, IT, Supply chain, and business transformation, ensuring successful execution and business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

 

What You'll Do:

 

  • Manage project scope, resources, budgets (multi-million HUF), risks, and vendor relationships as Project Manager or Scrum Master.
  • Ensure rigorous compliance with Celanese PMO governance frameworks and quality standards.
  • Prepare executive-ready materials: business cases, project charters, RAID logs, steering committee presentations.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment across global, cross-functional teams spanning multiple time zones.
  • Oversee financial tracking, forecasting, and budget management using SAP.
  • Facilitate project steering committees, preparing decision-ready recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Provide hands-on coaching to junior Project Managers and Coordinators, accelerating their professional growth.
  • Contribute to optimization of PMO processes, templates, and governance standards.
  • Support internal audits and quality reviews.

What You Bring

 

Qualifications

 

• Minimum 5 years, proven experience as a Project Manager managing multiple IT projects from initiation through closure in a multinational or corporate environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional projects.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
• Experience mentoring, coaching, or supervising junior staff (formal or informal).
• Strong analytical skills with experience in risk management and quality assurance.
• Smartsheet’s and SAP knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• PMP / PRINCE2/Scrum Master certification (CSM/PSM) is a plus.
