Overview:

Commercial Operations Specialist leads the end-to-end management of complex rebate programs, ensuring financial accuracy, strong controls, and compliance. This role partners closely with Commercial and Finance teams to translate contractual terms into precise accruals, settlements, and reporting. Acting as a subject matter expert, the specialist drives data integrity, process optimization, and audit readiness while enabling transparent financial outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Key Activities, Accountabilities and Results:

 
Rebate Execution & Data Validation:
 
•Calculate and execute monthly and quarterly rebate accruals
•Coordinate rebate settlements in alignment with contractual rebate terms
•Prepare and validate rebate settlement reports
•Perform detailed data checks, reconciliations, and variance analysis
•Investigate and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with Finance and Commercial teams
•Validate rebate calculations and underlying data with Commercial teams

SOX Controls & Compliance:
 
•Perform monthly and quarterly SOX controls related to rebates
•Maintain audit‑ready documentation and clear process ownership
•Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial governance standards
•Support internal and external audits related to rebates

Financial Collaboration & Period‑End Support:
 
•Work closely with Finance / FP&A / Credit during month‑end and quarter‑end close
•Ensure accurate financial booking and transparency of rebate impacts

 

Systems & Process Ownership:
 
•Maintain rebate data integrity in SAP, BI tools, and Excel
•Act as the subject matter expert for rebate mechanics and controls

Drive continuous improvement of rebate processes and reporting

Qualifications:

Experience:
 
•Proven experience in rebates, accruals, and financial controls
•Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and SOX requirements
•Experience with translating commercial terms into SAP
•Ability to work cross‑functionally in a structured, audit‑relevant environment

 

Technical Skills:
 
•Systems proficiency: SAP, BI tools and advanced Excel
•High degree of accuracy, ownership, and detail orientation
