Position Summary:

  • Execute delivery and logistics activities in a position that will be aligned by mode ensuring on time shipment from the plants and on time delivery to the customer.  Position will be responsible for day to day SAP transactions in addition to resolving any transportation delays, equipment challenges or other issues impacting on time delivery to the customer. 
  • The incumbent will take on increased responsibility in leading or supporting strategic projects, managing systems and tools, and collaborating with OPEX and digitalization teams. The role includes a reduction in operational workload to enable deeper involvement in analytics, process improvement, and internal consulting activities.
  • Provide support during conflict management and help the team with a positive attitude.  Act as a mentor for the team and help the Logistics Team with additional responsibilities as mutually agreed on by the leadership team.

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

Areas of Responsibility: 

 

  • Act as backup for the Team Leader in escalation cases or meetings as necessary.
  • Coordinate all load and shipment processes with local plant / warehouse / terminal personnel and carriers to ensure on time delivery to customer.
  • Proactively monitor open orders and deliveries to avoid and resolve issues at the earliest possibility and mitigate negative impact of unavoidable disturbances.
  • Key transactional contact for 3rd party logistics service providers.
  • Maintain key internal relationships including business, sales, supply chain planning, logistics procurement, product management and further functions.
  • Ensure adherence to defined operational escalation process to leads, regional experts and plant personnel when encountering unforeseen delays in shipping from plant and ultimate delivery to customer.  Manage exceptions and emergency situations.
  • Assist with resolution of freight invoice discrepancies.
  • Document, investigate and follow up of internal and external complaints.
  • Recommend process improvement including investigation of quality failures and the development of preventive and corrective actions for quality failures.
  • Support the team members in complex cases.
  • Run regular (weekly, monthly, quarterly) operational and KPI reports, share findings and trend with leadership, suggest potential improvement ideas where necessary.

 

Qualifications:

 Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in supply chain.
  • A good understanding of logistics processes.
  • Accustomed to working in collaboration with other departments and areas. 
  • SAP knowledge.
  • Fluent English. 
  • German knowledge is an advantage
  • Strong, decisive personality.
  • Troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
