Specialist General Ledger Accountant

YOU will be involved in the following tasks

• Prepare and post journal entries, perform month-end closings, general ledger account analysis and Balance Sheet account reconciliations, prepare SOX controls
• Prepare and review management reports and financial information analysis
• Supporting preparation of Financial Statement
• Back up Team Leads in meetings in the field of expertise
• Develop and maintain training materials
• Actively participate in general ledger projects as required
• Actively participate in general ledger change projects,
• Continuously improve closing processes and efficiency
• Identifying, solving and/or escalating accounting issues
• Interact with other finance and accounting personnel thorough the organization
• Interfaces with external and internal auditors for requests and account explanations

What YOU will bring to the team:

• Bachelor/master’s degree in accounting / finance
• More than 4 years relevant work experience in accounting
• Experience in a shared service center or accounting, at a large company is desired
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required
• Business English knowledge (written & verbal)

• Solid SAP knowledge

• Healthy skepticism and effective problem solving and analytical skills
• Effective prioritizing skill

• Strong decision-making skills
• Proactive, self-starter attitude and able to work independently & in team

• Ability to resolve ambiguous or complex assignments
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with personnel at all levels
