Procurement Lead, Specialty Raw Materials | Chemical Industry | Hybrid |Geneva Region

 

Are you passionate about leveraging procurement expertise to create competitive advantage in the specialty chemicals sector? Celanese, a global leader in specialty materials, is seeking a Procurement Lead to optimize our specialty raw materials sourcing across European manufacturing operations for our Acetyl chain business.

Responsibilities:

Impact You'll Make:

 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive supply strategies that drive cost advantage and ensure supply reliability
  • Lead negotiations for critical raw materials, collaborating with cross-functional teams including business, legal, manufacturing, and innovation
  • Influence material selection processes and vendor qualification to optimize our supply chain
  • Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance and total cost management
  • Shape contractual frameworks that protect Celanese's interests while building strategic supplier partnerships

Qualifications:

What You Bring:

  • 3-5 years of commercial or strategic procurement experience; preferably in the chemical industry, pharmeceuticals industry, life science or FCMG
  • Master’s in business administration or engineering or reated field
  • Exceptional communication skills with business fluency in English
  • Proven ability to influence diverse stakeholders and drive results through collaboration
  • Strong analytical capabilities and strategic thinking
  • Experience managing complex supplier relationships and negotiations
