Main Responsibilities / Duties

  • Lead the Nutrinova laboratory insourcing project, including infrastructure creation, staffing, etc.
  • Sourcing, installation and qualification of the new laboratory equipment’s
  • Laboratory equipment software and laboratory network installation in cooperation with IT
  • Guidance, delegation, and leadership of laboratory employees
  • Organization of workflows, processes and availability of the necessary analytical service in the laboratory, if needed also possibly outside regular working hours (e.g., lab manager on duty, quality assurance on duty, etc.)
  • Responsibility for issuing results, reviewing results, writing test methods and reports, preparing and/or reviewing and approving documentation, GMP/GLP conform
  • Creation, evaluation, and approval of work instructions and validations
  • Development, validation, qualification, control, calibration, and approval of new and existing methods and equipment
  • Training and qualification of laboratory staff
  • Provision of necessary resources for processes and occupational safety
  • Monitoring compliance with internal and legal regulations regarding occupational safety, environmental and occupational protection, and quality in collaboration with Product Stewardship and Quality Management
  • Responsible for handling customer requests and complaints in regards to analytical tests, methods or deviations
  • Participation in internal and external audits to ensure and optimize work processes, occupational safety, and quality
  • Planning, execution, and control of organizational, technical, and analytical projects
  • Ensuring efficient and optimal systems, methods, processes, and equipment, including administration of various software

  • Prioritization and assignment of routine and special tasks in daily operations and projects to subordinate employees
  • Monitoring the execution of tasks
  • Review and approval of work results
  • Introduction, validation, and approval of methods and equipment
  • Issuance of work approvals for the laboratory
  • Onboarding of new employees

Required Expertise

  • Min. 5 years of professional experience in an analytical, chemical or physical laboratory
  • Strong skills in report writing and validations (DE/EN)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and device-specific software
  • Good command of English and German (spoken and written)
  • Team leadership experience in a lab environment

Qualifications:

Required Education / Knowledge

  • Minimum qualification: Completed training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician, Chemical Technician or Chemical Engineer, or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in personnel management
