At Celanese, a global leader in specialty materials and chemical solutions, we're seeking a talented External Manufacturing Scheduler to support our external manufacturing operations and contribute to our supply chain excellence across Europe.

Role Impact: As an External Manufacturing Scheduler, you'll support the development of production plans and material requirements for our toll manufacturing network. You'll work with cross-functional teams to execute production scheduling, monitor performance metrics, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

What You'll Do

 

  • Production Planning: Support the development of production schedules and raw material requirements for external manufacturing partners based on master supply plans
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze scheduling metrics, assist with root cause analysis, and report on toller schedule performance
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with supply planners, procurement, logistics, and customer service to execute production schedules and address supply issues
  • Inventory Management: Process stock transfer requisitions and orders to position products across warehouses, tolling plants, and customer locations
  • Data Maintenance: Update and maintain scheduling master data in SAP and Blue Yonder planning systems
  • KPI Tracking: Monitor inventory performance against targets and assist in reporting key metrics
  • Stakeholder Communication: Build relationships with tolling partners and internal teams to support daily operations and resolve routine supply challenges

 

Qualifications:

What You Bring

  • 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing operations and/or supply chain planning with exposure to scheduling processes
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and identify basic trends
  • Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills with fluency in both German and English
  • Team-oriented approach with willingness to learn and grow
  • Adaptable mindset with ability to manage multiple priorities
