Overview:

The Senior Manager, Supply Chain will own the Planning Operations for the Acetyl Chain (AC) in EMEA for Emulsions Polymers (EP) and Redispersible Powders (RDP) and will act as the regional Acetyls Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Process Leader responsible for the development of demand and supply plans optimally derived from supply capacities, cost to serve accountancy and working capital objectives.

    • Owns S&OP process for AC in POC scope and leads the team of regional Planners responsible for the POC network for EP and RDP.
    • Accountable to plan and optimize RM/finished goods’ requirements to meet production plans, inventory & working capital goals.
    • Oversees EMEA AC inventory plans and terminal resupplies based on demand forecast, production cadence, and high risk points in supplying customers.
    • Manage risks of loss and costs associated with holding inventory.
    • Responsible for running planning scenarios in cooperation with Regional Supply Planners and to develop recommended solutions to meet business needs.
    • Accountable for managing/optimizing distribution costs related to the monthly supply planning process for EMEA.
    • Assures adherence to S&OP related POC guiding principles and operating protocols with respect to the Acetyl Chain.
    • Supports Supply Meetings with each manufacturing site
    • Drives productivity and optimization across the network to minimize cost to service customers.

  • Interfaces:

     

    • Close alignment with VP Manufacturing Acetyl Chain on POC EP and RDP, business leads and sales teams
    • Consults with VP Vinyl Chain and Global business leader in the finalization of the demand and supply planning figures with respect to EP and RDP.
    • Collaborates with Global Supply Chain Analyst and Regional Supply Planners to establish inventory targets for safety stock mitigating supply risks for EMEA region and resupply to other regions across the world.
    • Coordinates with End-to-End Supply Chain team (Logistics, Logistics Procurement, raw materials procurement, Customer Service, trade compliance, finance and accounting) for the European region.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Supply Chain and/or related supply chain management related processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, engineering, or chemistry.
  • MBA or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance or equivalent.
  • Provide a calm steady presence in the midst of a dynamic and constantly changing environment.
  • Foster a solution focused team, leading with recommendations.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to lead, contribute, and influence others in a team-based organization.
  • Supply Planning Expertise.
  • Ability to deliver results and to drive change in complex environments.
  • Analytical & Finance Skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of S&OP Process.
  • Excellent verbal and written English.
  • Knowledge of the Intermediate Chemistry (IC), Emulsion Polymers (EP) businesses (Acetyl Chain) and Redispersible Polymer Powder (RDP).
  • Good business acumen.
  • Strong internal and external negotiations skills; can show the ability to forge effective working relationships at all levels internally and externally.
  • Understanding of and ability to collaborate on manufacturing strategies and capabilities of regional sites and plants.
  • Customer Focused.
  • APICS/Six Sigma certified is an advantage.
