Position Summary:

 

A Senior Specialist, Financial Planning Analysis  is responsible for:

  • Leading interactions with Engineered Materials (EM) business on forecasting and actual result issues and processes primarily focusing on EMEA.
  • Financial modeling – supports short term and long term financial forecasting and various ad hoc requests.
  • Providing input for the analysis of the product lines’ financial position by maintaining and enhancing current forecasting models in EMEA.
  • Exposure to upper management through projects and presentations.
  • Exposure to business operations (Accounting, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement and head quarter personnel).

Responsibilities:

YOU will be involved in the following tasks:

  • Monitors financial metrics versus forecast and budget and highlights potential key business issues for EMEA.
  • Reviews month-end results by monitoring revenue for EMEA.
  • Supports the preparation and review of earnings flashes, forecasts and budgets for EMEA.
  • Provides analysis on current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue and presents these to the VP Commercial, Business directors and regional commercial leaders.
  • Assists in quarterly, monthly, and ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis, including those required for auditors for the European region.
  • Supports in the analysis of financial information and reports for EMEA to provide financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
  • Reviews and approves sales contracts for the EMEA region.
  • Provides a quarterly forecast of POC net earnings along with corresponding analysis and deviations.
  • Calculates and makes the necessary transfer price adjustments for the EM legacy POC structure in EMEA.
  • Develops a good understanding of market dynamics within the business line to identify and support business opportunities.
  • Communicates financial results and makes recommendations on actions needed to meet targets.
  • Financial modeling – short term and long-term financial forecasts and various ad hoc requests.
  • Analyzes the business lines’ financial position by maintaining and enhancing current forecasting models.
  • Gatekeeper for EM and EMEA related Finance roles in SAP. Approves/Rejects tickets applying pre-determined business rules.

Qualifications:

What YOU will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related International Business field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting/ Finance/ FP&A.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and results orientation.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Business acumen.
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • SAP/BI; Power BI knowledge.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
