Supervisor - General Ledger - EMEA

Responsibilities:

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Supervise one of the General Ledger teams. Responsible for US GAAP and plant accounting, reporting and analyzing data, and other ad hoc requests for information, contributing to complex projects, handling internal, external and tax audit requests.

 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of accounting data to the reporting and consolidation system, including additional analysis, schedules and research
  • Supervise team delivery of month-end closings, general ledger account analysis and reconciliations
  • Interact with finance and accounting management through the organization
  • Review management reports and financial information analysis on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Ensure proper staffing, development and motivation of personnel
  • Develop departmental policies and training documents
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls
  • Contribute to General Ledger projects as required
  • Continuously improve departmental effectiveness and efficiency

Qualifications:

What YOU will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Accounting 
  • At least 3-5 years relevant work experience in the field of accounting
  • Experience in supervising teams in a Shared Services environment 
  • SAP experience
  • Controls mindset
  • Fluent English knowledge is a must
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • People management skills, coaching others in their development
  • Ability to provide professional guidance to team members, resolve complex problems
  • Pro-active attitude, continuously seeking ways to do things better, faster, more efficiently
