Overview:

Position Summary:

Fully competent professional, who possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices,  procedures of particular field of Master Data and performs daily tasks of Master Data. Requires the readiness and capability of the completion of difficult assignments. Acts as go-to person to answer complex questions, coordinates project activities and also acts as back-up of the Supervisor.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Executes and processes various types of MD requests according to strict MD requirements
  • Contributes, performs and if needed coordinates project activities
  • Ensures quality of master data in SAP, supports ongoing maintenance and data integrity
  • Solves troubleshooting issues
  • Contributor in creation and maintenance of departmental policies, training documents and performance metrics
  • Acts as an enabler and initiator of good communication and flow of information in team and interdependent functions including higher leadership roles and IT technical support
  • Identifies training opportunities and conducts trainings within the department as well as outside
  • Contributes to global standardization of processes under limited supervision
  • Performs routine, ad hoc reporting functions and mass changes, if necessary build reports, creates specifications
  • Has solid knowledge on SAP Master Data objects model
  • Identifies process gaps and proactively manages MD quality and business rules
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement, manages small work items
  • Identifies, reports, cleanses SAP Master Data duplications.
  • Ensures quality of MD and data integrity from all aspects of Master Data
  • This is the first level of supervision with professional responsibility for staff only.  Provides day to day supervision of a smaller group of Master Data colleagues (in case of absence of the Supervisor)
  • Supports process change activities, validates and helps in creation of test scenarios
  • Provides process input for own area for yearly and ad/hoc audit requests
  • Resolves data migration issues timely using data migration and business governance rules to avoid business interruption
  • Works closely with MD OPEX and MD IT organization
  • Actively participates in MD governance, collaborates with Data Owners and participants to ensure  master data integrity across  systems is consistent and meets stated business rules and requirements

Qualifications:

  • Solid end-to-end understanding of all MD processes
  • Sufficient understanding of the related processes: P2P, OTC, Supply Chain
  • Excellent business communication skills in English both written and oral
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer centric, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under limited supervision, independently and able to work in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks and effectively meet deadlines
  • Performs complex issue resolution
  • Proactive, visible in the organization
  • Self-starter, result oriented personality with analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong technical mindset
  • Ability to understand complex systems and processes
  • Able to track, report and understand of metrics of own area
  • Represents team efforts and goals in absence of the Supervisor
  • Willingness and capability to supervise

  • 5+ years of MD experience
