Responsibilities:

YOU will be involved in the following tasks:

  • Work with the Commercial team, Reginal business manager, and S&OP team members to ensure Celanese is represented professionally and responsibly in the industry and that our organization meets the expected level of service and quality objectives of the customer by forecasting reliability.
  • Important role in Demand planning to support reliable demand plan generation and strategy execution.
  • Ensure a balance in Demand and Supply, as well as reliable service by reliable demand plan generation, to support assigned business segments.
  • Responsible for creating/editing the monthly demand forecast over the 24 months planning horizon at all levels of aggregation in IBP.  Responsible for the accuracy of the SKU level Unconstrained/Constrained Consensus Demand Forecast and Plan.
  • Collaborates with demand analyst to understand changes in the statistical forecast and is capable of explaining these to the Regional commercial team. Also teams up with the Regional commercial team to understand (Expected) market changes and is capable of translating these into changes in the Statistical forecasting settings. 
  • Validates Statistical forecast. Analyzes Multi-View forecast inputs from commercial and business teams and challenges as appropriate for making forecast adjustments based on local sales/marketing activities.  Analyze demand trends & demand signals from various sources especially actual demand from customers.
  • Generates additional demand scenarios with the Regional demand leader as needed.
  • Analyzes demand metrics to identify causes of forecast error and bias.  Responsible for driving corrective action to reduce bias and improve accuracy.
  • Prepare for and facilitates Pre-Demand and/or Regional Demand Reviews.  This includes the preparation of assumptions to justify the initial consensus demand plan, significant changes, and risks and opportunities for areas of responsibility.  
  • Incorporate business intelligence and forecast information gathered from Sales, Marketing, Product managers, and Finance.
  • Strong engagement and cooperation with Supply Chain to support continuous improvement projects to improve cost efficiency and customer satisfaction (such as SLOB, and OTIF)

Qualifications:

YOU will bring

  • Min 3~5 years experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain
  • Experience in understanding the supply chain flow connected to various departments/functions and leading close communication and collaboration with related departments/functions.
  • Good communication, problem-solving, collaboration, Interpersonal, and quantitative skills
  • Proficiency in business software applications such as MS Office (advanced Excel skills) and SAP IBP or industry-leading advanced planning software.
  • Power BI or Power Tableu experience is an advantage
  • Personality: highly organized, detailed orientated, strong sense of ownership
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Finance) is required
  • Business proficiency in English
