Overview:

We are looking for a Credit Risk Management Specialist to join our team in our headquarters in Amsterdam, Netherlands for our joint venture Nutrinova. You will be working hand in hand with our Finance and Commercial teams and will be responsible for the overall Credit Risk Management process of our company. Besides customer credit risk assessment and management, the role also includes general Risk Management responsibilities mostly connected to the Treasury area.

Responsibilities:

YOU will be involved in the following tasks:

 

  • Conduct thorough analysis of existing and potential customer's financial statements and assessment of credit requests, including both new and change requests and annual due diligence
  • Review and maintain credit scoring model for existing and new customers
  • Provide recommendations on payment terms and credit limit tied to analysis and assessment of credit risk
  • Present analysis, findings, and recommendations to managers, especially findings that involve a customer’s ability to pay
  • Follow specific country related risks and update payment term recommendations based on country risk assessment
  • Analyze data to verify information and uncover fraud
  • Daily monitoring of customer orders with credit block and timely resolution of blocked items by collaboration with stakeholders
  • Approve or reject credit and payment term requests based on risk assessment
  • Review and update the company’s credit policy when necessary
  • Assist with cash management of the company

Qualifications:

What YOU will bring to the team:

 

  • College/ University degree in Finance / Economics/ Accounting
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Accuracy, excellent numerical and analytical skills, attention to detail
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to research financial topics and present accessible reports on that research to colleagues with differing areas of expertise
  • Decision making and negotiation skills
  • SAP experience
  • Min. 2-3 years experience in a relevant Finance field - Treasury or Accounting or Credit Management role
  • Credit Risk Analyst background is preferred
