Overview:

Through this new position you will manage a group of Logistics Supervisors and their teams, who are responsible for executing delivery and logistics activities within multiple shipping locations, including manufacturing sites and third-party terminals/ warehouses.

 

Position is responsible for day-to-day management of personnel in addition to resolving any escalated issues relating to logistics activities in any mode of transportation, carrier performance, on time delivery metrics, ISO and SOX compliance, inventory reconciliation, quality incident resolution, logistics systems implementation. In addition, this role interfaces with their counterparts in Customer Experience Leadership and Business Leadership, acts as liaison between Supply Chain and the Commercial, S&OP, and Procurement organizations to develop and manage processes that meet productivity and quality metrics in order to ensure a seamless order-to-deliver process resulting in excellent service in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

YOU will be involved in the following tasks:

 

  • Drive the strategic direction of Logistics in alignment with company objectives
  • Ensure stable, engaged and motivated Logistics Supervisors and team members
  • Oversee processes of road transportation, 3rd party warehouses and ocean – air transportation
  • Build and maintain business relationships with all business lines to ensure requirements are known and escalation points are clear should they be needed
  • Ensure adherence to all Safety and Compliance written standard operating procedures and controls, trade compliance, customs compliance, transportation and logistics regulations, Sarbanes Oxley, Dangerous Goods regulations, IATF, Responsible Care and ISO 9000
  • Drive internal and external customer satisfaction and be key interface between Logistics and business lines
  • Responsible for delivering updated scorecards with metrics for internal process performance and driving improvement actions if targets are not met
  • Drive utilization of Quality Notification Process
  • Cooperate with Customer Service leaders to ensure alignment of goals and objectives
  • Participate in monthly operations meetings with supply chain and business teams to ensure alignment of performance and expectations
  • Recommend process improvements including investigation of quality failures and the development of preventive and corrective actions for quality failures
  • Manage work planning, vacation planning, follow up, meetings and scheduling to meet business requirements
  • Manage all HR required employee interactions including performance reviews, development plans and safety contacts
  • Lead 6-8 people leaders (Supervisors and Managers), responsible for the entire organization (60-80 people)
  • Coach the Supervisors to become effective and agile leaders who represent the company’s values
  • Participate in SOX self assessments as required (monthly, quarterly and annually) as well as ISO, IATF and other audits
  • Maintain and ensure key internal and external relationships
  • Actively participate and lead project activities

Qualifications:

  • Logistics experience w/ proven leadership responsibility (Minimum 5-7 years of logistics and 5+ years of leadership experience)

  • SAP Experience preferred
  • Fluent English required
