Overview:

Treasury involves the management of money and financial risks in a business. Its priority is to ensure the business has the money it needs to manage its day-to-day business obligations, while also helping develop its long term financial strategy and policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the cash activities in the European region.
    • Ensure Celanese's daily cash flows for the different currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, and other currencies) are managed effectively and safeguarded against loss.
    • Fund various bank accounts to ensure daily target balances are met.
  • Operate Celanese’s in-house bank,
  • Prepare short and mid term cash forecasts, execute company financing and payments on daily basis.
    • Perform daily bank reconciliations of all treasury bank accounts.
    • Determine cash positions daily and next day for Celaense’s businesses and functions.
  • Maintain bank accounts, meet the banks, and prepare bank documents.
  • Execute the Group’s cash investment practices in line with the cash investment policy and strategy and within agreed parameters.
  • Contact company signatories to execute documents.
  • There is a decision making role involved as well as for example a business come to the Treasury requesting a late payment and at that time Treasury will need to tell them whether that is possible for that currency.
  • Assist in Treasury’s efforts to ensure global best practices and standardized processes are in place for all activities.

Qualifications:

  • College/ University degree in Finance / Economics/ Accounting
  • Min. 2-3 years experience in a relevant position (we welcome fresh graduates under some circumstances)
  • Fluent in English
  • Good time management
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Effective prioritizing 
  • Accuracy
