Responsibilities:

Main responsibilities:

  • Safe preparation and execution of work and efficient handover of equipment.
  • Responding to plant outages and emergency breakdowns which may involve flexibility in working hours and participation in our call out system.
  • Carry out reliability centered Planned Preventative Maintenance to a high standard on process / manufacturing machinery.
  • Using fault finding skills and techniques to solve problems including RCA/5 whys.
  • Working to defined engineering standards and procedures.
  • Use of SAP based CMMS system to log & track works as well as management and ordering of parts / spares. (Experience specific to SAP not necessarily essential)

Qualifications:

Qualifications and attributes:

  • Level 3 or Higher Mechanical Engineer or equivalent.
  • High standard bench fitting skills. Experienced with pumps, rotary valves, motors, gearboxes, valves, dampers/cylinders etc.
  • Workshop skills such as TIG / stick welding, machining, turning and basic fabrication.
  • Background in a manufacturing environment and a working knowledge of Hazardous Areas.
  • Previous experience in Lifting Activities (Slinging and Rigging)
  • Excellent communication and IT skills
  • Excellent attitude; a self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision and in a team.
  • Electrical qualifications advantageous but not essential.
