Responsibilities:

  • Execute inventory activities in a position that will be aligned by warehouses ensuring on time shipment from the plants and on time delivery to the customer.  Position will be responsible for day to day SAP transactions in addition to resolving any inventory discrepancies, inventory caused transportation delays or other issues impacting on time delivery to the customer.  This position will interface with planning, quality, scheduling, manufacturing, customer service and logistics to meet productivity and quality metrics ensuring a seamless order-to-deliver process resulting in excellent customer service.

 

Areas of Responsibility:
           

  • Maintain key internal and external relationships; including OPEX, supply chain planning, customer service, ship points, quality, product management, procurement and WH personnel to ensure inventory accuracy for on time delivery.
  • Document and follow up of internal and external complaints, and make sure corrective action is applied to eliminate future happening.
  • Independently develop and participate on projects from concept to completion.
  • Ensure adherence to all Safety and Compliance written standard operating procedures and controls, trade compliance, customs compliance, transportation and logistics regulations, Sarbanes Oxley, Dangerous Goods regulations, Responsible Care and ISO 9000
  • Execute SAP postings in a timely manner and ensure timely discrepancy resolution
  • Execute daily operations according to audit regulations and provide details to support KPMG and internal audits
  • Ensure adherence to defined operational escalation process to leads, regional experts and plant personnel when encountering unforeseen issues in inventory from plant/warehouses and ultimate delivery to customer. Manage exceptions and emergency situations.
  • Assist with resolution of warehouse invoice discrepancies and active participation in warehouse invoice resolution
  • Execute inventory reconciliations and investigation independently

  • Process quality notifications and claims involving 3rd party WH incidents including the initiation, management and collection of claims and recommend process improvement.
  • Manage physical returns, booking and handling.
  • Assist in contingency planning (e.g., power outage, SAP outage) and special incidents (hurricane and inclement weather preparation, plant outage)
  • Participate and prepare 3rd party warehouses for yearly inventories
  • Execute quarterly SOX controls for inventory reconciliation and accuracy
  • Coordinate bi-weekly meetings with 3rd party WHs identifying issue and their root causes, preventive actions
  • Be main contact for strategic warehouses, providing comprehensive support in all areas of warehouse operations and issue resolution across functions.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years supply chain experience
  • SAP knowledge
  • Fluent English 
  • German knowledge is an advantage
  • Strong, decisive personality
  • Troubleshooting/problem solving skills
