Responsibilities:

NEOLAST™ is an innovative new fiber for use in performance stretch fabrics recently launched by Celanese. This material offers the apparel industry a high-performance alternative to spandex that unlocks the potential for end users to recycle performance stretch fabrics. We are seeing tremendous interest in NEOLAST™ and are looking to strengthen our team to provide better material solutions to consumers and the planet. Join us!

YOU will be involved in the following tasks:

 

  • Collaborate across the value chain with spinning partners, knitting mills and garment designers
  • Provide technical support throughout the qualification
  • oversee product testing and assist spinners to improve and maintain high quality including diligent documentation
  • develop training materials and conduct training sessions for customers, partners and colleagues
  • identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact and improve sustainability
  • take directions from GTM and Hytrel® Yarn Business Manager
  • Location: Celanese Technical Center in Meyrin Switzerland or USA

Qualifications:

What YOU will bring to the team:

 

  • 10+ years of technical hands-on experience in textile industry, especially with melt fiber and/or elastic fiber spinning; including critical thinking and knowledge of fiber process/structure/properties relationships.
  • knowledge and experience of knitting mechanics, fabric design, dyeing and finishing, preferably with elastic yarns.
  • technical knowledge of production processes, equipment and materials for textile
  • excellent interpersonal skills to connect with customers and partners
  • comfortable in international cross-functional teams, ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a global team.

  • fluent in English
  • Ready to travel up to 50%
