Senior Engineer – Wireless Local Networks

• Design, deploy, and optimize wireless network solutions, including indoor/outdoor access points, controllers/cores, and network management/monitoring systems
• Conduct site surveys and assess RF interference to optimize wireless coverage and performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex wireless network issues, including connectivity, performance, and security issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate wireless solutions with existing network infrastructure
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, processes, procedures, and standards
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to wireless networking

• Industry certifications such as CCNP Wireless, CWNP, or equivalent
• Expertise in wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi 6, 802.11ac, 802.11ax, mesh networking, and wireless bridges
• Private 5G expertise: Core, RAN, and Management/Monitoring Technologies
• Practical experience in Private 5G implementation and maintenance
• Proficiency in network protocols and standards, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, and VLANs
• Hands-on experience with wireless network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, Meraki, Nokia, Ericsson, or Celona
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues
• Experience coordinating and working with teams of multiple disciplines globally
• Proven success of collaborating with non-IT stakeholders
• Practical experience in IT infrastructure design, implementation and support
• Ability to document precisely and at right level of detail
• Ability to define and follow processes
• Ability to translate business requirements into IT solutions and associated cost
• Understanding of financial impact of decisions
• Ability to clearly define problem statements and determine solutions
• Must have strong planning skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Required Years of Experience:
• ~ 5 years of designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise wireless networks
• Required Education:
• University or similar degree
