Tax Specialist

YOU will be involved in the following tasks:

• Preparation of complex VAT/ ESL/ Intrastat reports for established/foreign VAT registered Celanese legal entities in EMEA region
• Review of less complex VAT/ ESL/ Intrastat reports for established/foreign VAT registered Celanese legal entities in EMEA region
• Preparation and monitoring of payment instructions request
• Support reconciliation annual VAT returns/ correction returns
• Support quarterly VAT GL accounts reconciliation (domestic LE/ foreign VAT registrations)
• Instruct GL, AP, AR, CS, IT team on relevant tax code to apply
• Participate and support in Tax Audit conducted by Authorities in EMEA region
• Support GL with year-end audits with data collection/ GL relevant items
• Monitoring VAT receivables/ payables with tax authorities, GL VAT accounts
• Support other business functions (GL, AP, AR, CS, IT) in ad-hoc requests
• Participate, support senior team members and VAT manager in projects (SAP implementation, automation, e-invoicing, e-reporting etc.)

What YOU will bring to the team:

• Strong knowledge in SAP, Excel and in PowerPoint
• Strong planning, problem-solving and follow-up skills, proactive mindset
• Strong interaction ability with all levels/functions
• Fluency in written & spoken English. Speaking and writing German is a plus
• Ability to work independently
• 2-3 years experience in VAT area
