Responsibilities:

Position Summary: 

 

Responsible for US GAAP and plant accounting, reporting and analyzing data, and other ad hoc requests for information, handling internal, external and tax audit requests. 


YOU will be involved in the following tasks:

 

  • Perform month-end closings, general ledger account analysis and reconciliations
  • Prepare and review management reports and financial information analysis on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Interact with other finance and accounting personnel thorough the organization
  • Actively participate in general ledger change projects as required
  • Assist team lead with creation and maintenance of departmental policies, training documents and performance metrics

Qualifications:

What YOU will bring to the team:

 

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Accounting or other relevant field of Finance
  • 1-3 years relevant work experience in accounting; previous experience in a shared service center or accounting experience at a large company, or fast paced environment is desired
  • Advanced understanding of accounting & internal accounting controls
  • Work independently
  • Proactive attitude
  • Demonstrates healthy skepticism and effective problem solving and analytical skills
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Follows through on commitments and demonstrates ownership of results
  • Effectively prioritizes assignments
  • Understands the expectations of customers and delivers service that meets or exceeds customer’s needs within policy guidelines
  • Exhibits a positive can-do attitude and approaches responsibilities with an open mind
  • Ability to resolve ambiguous or complex assignments
  • Must be a strong team player
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with personnel at all levels throughout the organization
  • Must have strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Previous experience with SAP (or similar ERP system) is an advantage
