Specialist Logistics Procurement

YOU will be involved in the following tasks:

• Develop and implement effective procurement strategies for delivering best value (lowest Total Cost of Ownership) for POC.
• Prepare and execute aggregated Request for Quotations (RFQs) in the respective category (Road, Rail, Sea, Air, Warehouse, Terminal, Customs Broker and surveyor)
• Ensure excellence in sourcing practices by determining and facilitating sourcing methods and tools.
• Ensure logistics agreements have sourcing plans to deliver timely results, including best alternative to a negotiated agreement.
• Run projects to ensure best practice in Procurement Excellence, in line with current market trends and POC long term development plans.
• Manage Supplier Relationship within the mode of transport/service.
• Monitor Logistics spend, share highlights to stakeholders to define corrective actions, when applicable.
• Assist Business Units and POC Management in providing Logistics analysis.

What YOU will bring to the team:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or min 1 to 3 years relevant work experience
• Experience in Logistics, preferably in the Chemical sector, with proven track of expertise logistics activities

Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

• Procurement professional with negotiation experience preferred
• Strategic thinking
