Responsibilities:

Lead regional EM- Core Technology Team (CTG) for Compounding and Pultrusion. Provide technical, process, project, business line and site support for Celanese- EU regional manufacturing sites.
- Lead and manage debottlenecking, productivity, gatekeeping activities for EU manufacturing sites.
- Lead EU CTG team for successful implementation of new technologies, capabilities and products in the plant. Take initiative to improve manufacturing capabilities of the sites to enable business growth in the region. Work with Manufacturing team to optimize equipment performances to increase efficiency and product quality.
- Support product/equipment performance initiatives in/between regions.
- Standardize regional capabilities to match business goals and global footprint.
- Go-to person/SME for compounding and pultrusion technical/process help.
- Manufacturing representative for Regional Pipeline meeting. Analyze, Identify, lead and contribute to identify gaps/projects in support of the global/regional business line objectives from manufacturing perspective.
- CTG lead to support product line in commercialization of newly developed products. Lead transition to the Manufacturing Core of new business scale-up needs of products and materials, manufacturing technology, compounding and LFT process safety improvements for EU. Work with sites in UTP and capital planning.
- Identify, lead and contribute to projects in support of the global/regional business line objectives from manufacturing perspective. Supports M&A projects in manufacturing perspective as required.
- Train and expand knowledge of Manufacturing team, Technology, Business line personnel on compounding technology, products, and operations.
- Mentor and develop local and global teams on compounding and sustainable equipment, process, reliability, safety, product setup and operation.

Qualifications:

Degree in Engineering, Master of Chemistry/Polymer or equivalent

- 10+ years of related chemical manufacturing or technology and development experience related to compounding, pultrusion or similar processes.

- Solid working knowledge of plastics compounding and pultrusion technology, supply chain process, product scale-up workstreams, scheduling/planning, manufacturing operations, QC testing work streams.

- Must be able to demonstrate abilities to collaborate and build effective networks, communicate effectively, drive engagement, and solid history of driving results.

- Capable of developing and managing a high-level team(local/regional)and delivering results across a broad spectrum; safety, productivity, capital spending, expense spending, quality,etc.
- Knowledge in equipment set up, capability, Installation processes, projects. Hands on experience in process development & process debottlenecking.
- Six Sigma/Lean certification or knowledge.

- Strong safety mentality and background / knowledge of process safety.
