Responsibilities:

  • The selected candicate will lead local Technology Team for Compounding and Pultrusion. Provide technical, process, project, business line and site support for Celanese- EU regional manufacturing sites.
  • Lead and manage reliability programs, debottlenecking, productivity, gatekeeping activities for EU manufacturing sites. Lead Technology team for successful implementation of new technologies, capabilities and products in the plant. Take initiative to improve manufacturing capabilities of the sites to enable business growth in the region. Work with Manufacturing team to optimize equipment performances to increase efficiency and product quality. Support product/equipment performance initiatives in/between regions. Standardize regional capabilities to match business goals and global footprint.
  • Go-to person for compounding (CPD) and pultrusion (LFT) technical/process help.
  • Represent manufacturing technology in Global CTG (Center Technology Group) meeting. (Once regional EC established in EU region).
  • Manufacturing technology representative for Regional Pipeline meeting. Analyze, Identify, lead and contribute to identify gaps/projects in support of the global/regional business line objectives from manufacturing perspective. Cooperate directly in Major Projects.
  • Lead to support product line in commercialization of newly developed products. Lead transition to the Manufacturing Core of new business scaleup needs of products and materials, manufacturing technology together with CTG, compounding and LFT process safety improvements for EU. Work with global sites in UTP (Unit Technology Plan) and capital planning.
  • Identify, lead and contribute to projects in support of the global/regional business line objectives from manufacturing perspective. Supports M&A projects in manufacturing perspective as required.
  • Train and expand knowledge of Manufacturing team, Technology, Business line personnel on compounding technology, products, and operations.
  • Mentor and develop local and global teams on compounding and sustainable equipment, process, reliability, safety, product setup and operation.

Qualifications:

  • 10 + years’ experience in Compounding, Polymer, Pultrusion and Supply Chain operations in plastics.
  • Exceptional SAP, Excel knowledge and data analysis skills utilizing it.
  • Extensive working knowledge of compounding and line operations and capabilities within units. Experience in managing multifunctional team.
  • Proven Business Acumen applying knowledge plastics operations and business to advance organization’s goals.
  • 4-year Engineering degree, preferably in Chemical, Polymer or Mechanical Engineering
