Responsibilities:

 

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical motors, starters and distribution equipment
  • Perform PMs
  • Perform assigned maintenance work orders
  • Replace componentry, including when necessary the installation of conduit and wiring
  • Complete low, medium and high voltage switching
  • Maintain and repair lighting circuits and heat tracing

 

Skills

  • Understand electrical schematics and one-line diagrams
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Power distribution knowledge
  • Ability to use test equipment (multimeter, ohm meter, megger, DLRO)
  • Experience in troubleshooting VFD's, motors, motor starters, lights and receptacles, etc
  • Experience in switching loads at all levels
  • Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E
  • Adherence to company safety policies
  • Understand arc flash and PPE requirements
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Team player
  • Possess a high level of troubleshooting skills
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills
  • Be familiar with high voltage equipment and power substation configurations

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 10 years' experience
  • Trade school certification not required but recommended
  • State of Texas Maintenance or Journeyman License- maintenance background
