Currently we are looking for a

 

Strategic Sourcing Leader – Logistics 

to be located in Amsterdam, The Netherland

Responsibilities:

This means on a daily routine basis:

 

  • Oversee and manage all supplier relationships within the mode of transport/service
  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies for delivering best value
  • Develop and execute sourcing plans including supporting contract negotiations, managing supplier relations, database management and market analyses.
  • Work cross functionally to understand business objectives and challenges and create aligned logistics strategies.
  • Deploy standards by which new logistics providers are qualified, assessed and monitored 
  • Contribute and drive Costs Improvement initiatives 
  • Participate to Customer Satisfaction and Quality improvement projects

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Logistics, preferably in the Chemical sector, with proven track of expertise logistics activities.
  • Procurement professional
  • Strategic and critical thinking 
  • Ability to cope with ambiguity
  • Focused on goals and deliverables (Costs reduction and supply chain reliability)
  • Experience working in a high pace environment
  • Curiosity in creating new and better ways for the organization to be successful
  • Excellent relationship building skills, both internally and externally.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills, data and fact driven
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to deal with cultural differences and regional issues
  • Knowledge of regional regulatory requirements
  • Strategy development and implementation of strategic plans
