Currently we are looking for a
Production Scheduler
to be located in Forli, Italy
• Create an optimal production schedule by reviewing outputs of advanced planning & scheduling tools. Develop a weekly production plan and create the short-range daily production schedule in SAP
• Maintain Demand & Supply Balance in SAP (MD04), resolve exceptions and manage any unplanned changes to the production schedule ( downtime, rates, quantity) within the execution horizon in SAP ECC.
• Communicate any deviations to relevant interfaces (production, schedulers in other regions, tollers, planner, CS, etc.)
• Manage immediate term constraints (raw material availability, labor and resource) and communicate with Master Production Scheduler on impacts of the execution horizon changes
• Optimize short term production schedule in cooperation with Master Production Planners & Manufacturing, consider potential restrictions and resolve exceptions to manage demand fluctuation and mismatches of supply and demand by collaborating with key regional stakeholders (Planners, Schedulers, Raw Material Planner, Inventory Planner, Logistics and Customer Service, etc) on any deviations from the plan
• Track production / availability dates and adjust the plan in SAP, communicate any impact to customer orders / stock transport orders to customer service / schedulers in other regions via alert process
• Review processes and recommend continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production planning & enhance cross functional collaboration by resolving specific and generic themes.
• Maintain and ensure correct master data
• A commercial or technical education: University degree (bachelor or master) in business, Supply Chain Mgmt, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred
• Minimum 4 year supply chain experience in in S&OP planning/scheduling
• Minimum 3 years of experience and strong knowledge in SAP environment (preferably PP/PS, MM and SD)
• Good communication, customer focus and team skills
• Solution orientation, flexibility, ability to work under pressure, motivation, hands-on mentality
• Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills required
• Ability to work independently and set priorities
• Work analytically, systematically and accurately
• Ability to cope with changing and challenging tasks
• Minimum 2 years of experience and strong knowledge in SAP environment (preferably PP/PS, MM and SD)
• Good written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills in Italian and English• Experience working in SAP
• Experience working in advanced planning systems preferred
• Specialty chemicals experience preferred
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience in a chemical compounding / polymer production environment preferred
