Currently we are looking for a

 

Manager Raw Materials Procurement

to be located in Amsterdam, The Netherland

Responsibilities:

This means on a daily routine basis:

 

  • Manage raw material portfolio in Engeering Material covering multiple business lines and production sites within Europe
  • Responsible for supplier(s) selection, supplier relationship management, supplier mix optimization
  • Develop and communicate comprehensive supply strategies for the EM raw materials which provide Celanese’s businesses with a competitive advantage in terms of total cost and supply reliability
  • Understanding market trends, performing cost and scenario analysis to enable quality decision-making
  • Negotiating contracts with suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality
  • Identify supply risks and develop mitigation plan
  • Establish supplier and 3rd party networks which enable access to information about important market trends and competitive position of supply base
  • Review supplier performance for quality, on-time delivery, etc. and determine appropriate resolutions where issues arise
  • Leading projects with cross functional team to execute supply strategy, e.g. drive new material qualifications, supply reliability projects etc.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in the chemical industry
  • Ability to successfully lead diverse groups towards a desired outcome through persuasion and influence
  • Must be driven for results and have strong perseverance
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong relationship skills with ability to successfully problem solve with diverse groups towards a desired outcome through persuasion and influence
  • Ability to think strategically, critically
  • Strong communication skills (written/verbal)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
